Young Canadian singer-songwriter George Walter is making gentle interweb waves with his truthful, heart-on-sleeve bedroom pop tracks, and latest offering ‘Okay’ strips it right back to basics with guitar and voice. Well, we say right back, there’s also a soothing layer of production to bring the track together in a dreamlike state. ‘Okay’ starts with the most honest of lines - “Good enough, I wish that I was good enough, for you,” a sentiment that we’ve all felt at one time or another. Walter goes on to confess his undying loyalty and love, backed by sparkling synths, marching parade snare and untampered acoustic strings.
